Engineering experience

Mechanical Engineering Intern, Culturon

Sydney, Australia · February–June 2026

I ran optical emission spectroscopy experiments with an HR4000 spectrometer and wrote Python tools with pandas, SciPy, and Astroquery to process spectra, locate peaks, and compare candidate lines with the NIST atomic spectra database. I documented the work in a benchmarking report for the engineering team.

Project Engineer, BU Rocket Propulsion Group

Boston, MA · September 2024–present · Student engineering team

I designed and fabricated a resin rocket nozzle, evaluated its pressure loading in SolidWorks Simulation, and helped integrate it with the chamber and ignition system for a static fire. I now work on the ARGO rocket’s external fairing, using ANSYS Fluent, OpenRocket, and first-principles calculations to compare aerodynamic concepts at a Mach 2.81 design condition.

AI Trainer, Handshake AI Fellowship

Remote · October–December 2025

I evaluated responses to scientific and quantitative prompts and wrote structured feedback on technical accuracy and reasoning errors.

I tested microphone directional sensitivity across an azimuthal sweep and documented polar-pattern deviations for engineering review.

Selected academic projects

  • 2.5-DOF Cartesian motion system — in progress: Our ME360 team is developing a portable electromechanical system with multiple linear stages and a task-specific end effector. The class requires at least a 2.5 × 2.5 in work area and a system that fits in a backpack or can be assembled by one person in under ten minutes.
  • The Deskinator: I wrote the Arduino navigation firmware and helped assemble and redesign an autonomous cleaning robot. Its final documented trial collected 72 of 95 rice grains.
  • Room temperature monitor: I built an enclosed Arduino monitor that displays Celsius and Fahrenheit and signals temperatures outside 60–75°F.
